Eyelid Aesthetics

The first signs of aging are seen around the eyes. It may occur due to sleep disturbance, alcohol, smoking, salty and abundant caffeine consumption, low water consumption, the effects of the sun, allergies, sinus problems and genetic causes.

Sagging due to excess skin on the upper lid narrows the visual field and causes heaviness. In these cases, there may be wrinkles and headaches in the forehead skin with the desire to lift the forehead up.  It also prevents the application of makeup to the eye and the eye shape it creates disrupts the attractive appearance.  The treatment is a 20-minute procedure with local anesthesia.

The upper lid problem that causes the eyes to look hollow can be corrected with filling and brought to a normal appearance.

In cases where the excess skin on the upper lid is due to sagging forehead skin, removing the skin from the lid pulls the eyebrows lower and worsens the problem. In this case, forehead lift is the only solution and has excellent results.

In the lower lid, problems such as excess and sagging skin and herniation in the fat bags occur. Due to sagging skin, the white of the eye appears more, and the skin becomes darker.

In addition to the removal of the skin in the lower lid, the fat bags are not removed and the fat bags are spread, which provides a better harmony between the lid and the cheek. At the same time, if the skeletal support is weak, it should be strengthened with an implant.

A good result is obtained with fillers in mild cases, as it gives the face a tired and aged expression in the collapses formed on the lower lid cheek and nose transition line. It provides a more vivid appearance.   In more serious collapses, surgical lifting is performed in the middle face.
